Farmer’s Market Black Velvet Petunias
In April, I went to a talk at the Scugog Spring Garden Show given by Denis Flanagan of Landscape Ontario. People in the room gasped when Denis showed a slide of the Black Velvet Petunia. These gorgeous blooms are the perfect accent to any colour—white, fuschia, yellow, pastels, anything! Just like the perfect LBD.

Also available is a Phantom Petunia (shown in the main image) which is black, but with an interesting yellow centre.
