About two months ago, with engineering stats in hand, I decided to jump the permitting process and start digging. That weekend I jumped on a shovel to get it into the hard ground, slipped, toppled over, and drove the handle of a wheelbarrow into my rib, resulting in an emergency room visit.

So, it’s been almost two months. In that time I’ve got the rest of the engineering packet together, and this weekend I decided to see if my rib had healed up enough to finish the digging. Right now it’s just landscaping, once I pull the permit that’ll be the slot for the thickened edge to the slab which will hold my workshop with a living roof.
